TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS:

SYSTEM: MacMahon 5 rounds, Japanese rules (6.5 komi)

TIME: 60 minutes + 3*30 sec (or 10/25) byoyomi

REGISTRATION FEE: On-site payment 10€ for players above 18 years

PRIZES:

We are preparing prizes for the first five places, the best kyu player, the best youth player (U20, U16 and U12) and the best women’s player. We will reward all players with 5 points.

The tournament prizes for TOP 5 players are:

  • The first (1) place: 300€
  • The second (2) place: 200€
  • The third (3) place: 100€
  • The fourth (4) place: 60€
  • The fifth (5) place: 40€

Other tournament prizes are:

  • The best kyu player: 40€
  • The best women’s player: 30€
  • Player with 5 wins: 30€

The tournament prizes for the best YOUTH players in all three categories U20, U16 and U12:

  • The first (1) place: 5.000 RSD
  • The second (2) place: 3.000 RSD
  • The third (3) place: 2.000 RSD

NOTE: Prizes are not cumulative!

HOW TO GET TO THE TOURNAMENT:

ACCOMMODATION: The first 30 registered players will be able to stay at the Hotel of Regional Center Niš where the tournament will be held. Priority is given to participants in GSQ. The accommodation is 15€ per night (breakfast included). Additional accommodation is available close to the venue for similar price.

Hotel of Regional Center Niš has been completely booked during the Niš Open Go Tournament!!!

Accomodation is now available in Apartments “Lira Inn” which is 1.1 km (cca 15 minutes by foot) away from the venue.

The hotel has single (2.500 RSD room with breakfast and local taxes) and all other rooms (2,3,4,5 beds) are 10€ per night. These prices have been specially arranged by organizers and requires prior registration. double (3.200 RSD), triple (3.600 RSD) and quadruple rooms (4.000 RSD). (Check the Exchange Rate).

ARRIVAL: Niš is easily accessible with several types of transport.

By Airplane: Low-cost airlines fly from several cities in Europe to Niš Constantine the Great Airport.

THE BEST AIRPLANE CONNECTIONS are Bratislava in Slovakia (Low-cost airline Ryanair), Eindhoven in Netherlands and Memmingen in Germany (Low-cost airline Wizz Air) with arrivals to Niš on Fridays and departures on Mondays. Ticket prices are from 9.99€ when bought online directly from the airlines. Distance from the Niš airport to the tournament venue is only 7,5 km (approximately 15 minute drive).

By Car: Major highway E75 connects Niš with Belgrade. GPS coordinates of the venue are: 43°19’19.7″ N / 21°55’06.7″ E (43.322151, 21.918517).

By Bus and Train: Niš is connected with many European cities by bus and train which operate every day. Bus lines from Belgrade are available every hour, and most are direct. Bus trip takes 3 hours approximately.
